Comparison between air and sea freight
Air freight is ideally used when the shipping costs are less than 15-20% of the value of the goods. Ocean freight is typically much slower than air freight, and customs issues and port congestion can cause additional delays. Express LCL is increasingly available on more routes and from more carriers, often guarantees a delivery date and is faster than normal ocean freight. Sea freight has a much better carbon footprint than air freight.
